This young alpaca is part of a small group living on a petting zoo / children's farm. Alpacas are a domesticated species related to the llama and originating from Peru, where they can often be seen grazing in herds around the Andes mountain range. They are now farmed all around the world for their wool / hair, which is used to make a variety of knitted fabrics and clothing items.
