Also referred to as the 'Bouledogue Francais', French bulldogs are an especially muscular and strong small dog, with a squashed, wrinkly face and a very short tail. However, they do suffer from breathing problems and can overheat on hot days, when they require shade and possibly air-conditioning to cool down, or of course, a dip in the sea.
