West Highland White Terriers are especially popular in the USA and in the past this breed has appeared on a number of television adverts, including dog food. The temperament of the dog does vary greatly, with some Westies being suitable for families with young children, while others prefer peace and quiet. However, they do not like sharing their toys and can become quite possessive towards them.
