Dry stone walling is a job for experienced builders, who are able to piece together a jigsaw of rocks and stones, picking out those with a flat side and facing these forwards, or using a mason's hammer to create a front to the stone. Larger rocks are placed on the wider base of the walls, while small stones are used at the top, helping it to become more stable.
