Brick paving is becoming an increasingly popular alternative to concrete, asphalt (tarmac) and gravel or shingle. However, the process is both more costly and more time-consuming, as it involves digging out for hardcore foundations (compacted), laying a layer or sand and then arranging the bricks in a pattern.
