Various different sea defences are used to help stop the erosion of beaches around England, although different county councils choose to invest different amounts of money protecting the coastline. Therefore, some beaches are suffering more erosion than others, e.g. the coastline of Hampshire is crumbling, while next door in Dorset, more money and effort is being spent to successfully hold back the erosion problems.
