Brighton is an especially lively seaside town, being classed as a city when combined with Hove. Much of its popularity is due to its relative proximity to the city of London and its good rail connections to the capital. The Brighton Pavilion is amongst the main tourist attractions, along with the city's famous pier and of course, the extensive shingle and pebble beachfront.
