This signal crayfish (Pacifastacus leniusculus) has just been caught from a river and is an extremely invasive North American species, which is rapidly taking over rivers all around the world. Also known as a crawfish, this particular freshwater crustacean has wiped out many native species, due to being aggressive and also as it is a carrier of disease.
