This picture shows a working fishing harbour where a round crab pot / lobster trap has just been emptied by the fishermen, being left on the side for use the following day. These circular traps are designed to lure crabs and lobsters inside with bait, such as oily fish heads. Once they have entered through the small tunnel, they find it difficult to find their way out and generally remain inside until the pot is retrieved the following day.
