This picture shows an irregular shaped rockpool that has just formed when the tide retreated at Exmouth beach. Located close to the beachfront, dozens of rockpools form here each day, due to the plentiful rocks that have eroded over the years. The surrounding rocks are covered with green seaweed, which contrasts against the deep blue water surface that is reflecting the overhead sky.
