Wild Mallard ducks can become especially friendly, often begging for bread from passersby and scavenging for food and leftovers around parks, where water is nearby in the form of a river, lake or large pond. Males and females are quite distinctive and easy to identify, with males featuring bright green heads and blue feathers in their wings, while the females are mainly different shades of brown.
