Red cherry shrimp are commonly kept by aquarists, as they are easy to keep in a tropical, freshwater aquarium fish tank. They originate from Taiwan and should only be kept with small fish, such as neon tetras, as larger fish will soon eat them quickly, even if there are hiding places in the tank.
