Cinerarias are usually treated as half-hardy tender perennials, as they originate from the Canary Islands, Madeira and Southern Africa. They are commonly sold at garden centres and florist shops. Those growing cinerarias should be aware that aphids / greenfly are a common pest that is attracted to these plants.
