This picture shows a spreading sunflower field in the strong morning sunshine. These huge flowers are growing on a speciality farm, where they will shortly be harvested for their seeds and oil. The sunflowers are already starting to ripen now that they are fully in flower, and when the petals drop off and the back of the seed head has turned brown, the farmer will come along with his specially modified combine harvester and harvest the entire crop.
