Disposable barbecues are a common sight on the beach, although some beaches do not actually permit bbqs, or instead choose to restrict their use to certain times, such as only after 18:00. This is to prevent nearby sunbathers from being bothered by the smoke when the coals are lit and as the fat drips from the food, onto the hot charcoal beneath.
