The quality of the meat in burgers and sausages varies greatly, with the price often being an indication of the percentage of meat to rusk / filler. Where burgers are made with more than 70 percent meat, they are considered to be of a good quality. Flavours and other 'gourmet' ingredients often include fruit and vegetables, such as onions, apples, mushrooms, chilies, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, garlic, gherkins and ginger, as well as fresh and dried herbs, salt and pepper.
