Although most towns in the UK tend to have one or two fish and chip shops, they are usually much more plentiful in seaside towns and resorts, often being located within the busiest parts of the town, usually by the beach, where they target tourists. While most people consider a fish supper to be rather greasy and unhealthy, it is actually far fewer calories than many other takeaway meals, such as pizzas, Chinese takeaways and Indian curries.
