The teenage boy is using a wide plastic garden rake with a wooden handle, designed to easily remove large debris from the lawn without damaging / tearing up the actual grass - with a gentle raking action. The lawn is particularly green, as it has recently been fed and is watered with a sprinkler during periods of hot and dry weather. It is mowed twice a week during the summer months with a simple push lawn mower.
