The garden is rather dominated by an old English oak tree (quercus robur), which has recently been pruned and is pictured growing next to the lawn, close to the house. However, the roots are not harming the foundations to the house, as these foundations are very substantial and the house was built when the tree was large, rather than the tree growing up over a period of years after the building work was completed.
