An easy way to ensure that your deck is less slippery in the winter is simply to keep it clean and free of algae. Scrubbing the decking with a wire brush or blasting it with a powerwasher will certainly help, as will painting it with a specialist preserver / protector covering, which usually comes with anti-slip properties.
