To keep a garden lawn looking lush, green and in good condition, it does need to be mowed on a regular basis throughout the summer and into the autumn. If the grass is soggy, then it should either be spiked with a garden fork or lawn sandals with spikes, or plugs of soil removed with a metal lawn aerator and filled with sand.
