The maples are both growing in the ground and in glazed pots, being varieties of acer palmatum. A seating area is provided by red plastic 'Tam Tam' stools (purchased from Habitat), which are positioned alongside a black pot of blood grass (Imperata cylindrica 'Rubra') next to a pebble pathway leading around the perimeter of the lawn.
