Oriental tea gardens are known for their winding pathways of stepping stones, pebbles and gravel, while Zen gardens feature displays of rocks, surrounded by raked gravel representing water. As moss won't grow well in full sunshine, similar green groundcover plants are used as a substitute, such as 'mind your own business' (pictured).
