The wooden interior doors are made from a cheap particleboard, which is then covered with a thin oak veneer to make them appear more expensive. It is important them they are hung by an experienced carpenter, so that they open properly and don't rub against the carpet, or have large, uneven gaps at the top, bottom or sides. When hanging an especially heavy door, it is advisable to use three hinges, so that it doesn't drop or bow in the middle, over time.
