Sequoias generally grow into narrow, tall trees, often losing their lower limbs / branches as they gain height, especially when they are growing alongside other evergreen trees in a woodland. Coastal redwoods feature conical shaped crowns of fine scaled foliage, with thin branches that droop downwards, hanging down as they grow longer and heavier.
