Stock Images of Limes (Trees)

Pictures include some common lime trees (tilia europaea) that have recently been heavily pollarded and are shown bursting with spring buds and growth. This species is frequently pruned in this way with lollipop shaped branches, to keep them small and prevent the trees outgrowing their space. Pollarded limes are often seen in rows, outside pubs and churches, being best pruned in this way just as their autumn leaves begin to fall.
